The Gold Coast community came together in a show of unity and support at the 5th Annual Walk4Jack, held at Damian Leeding Memorial Park in Oxenford. The event, organised by the Jack Beasley Foundation (JBF), honours the memory of Jack Beasley, affectionately known as "Jacko", and raises awareness about youth violence.

The Jack Beasley Foundation was established in 2019 after 17-year-old Jack tragically lost his life in a fatal stabbing incident in Surfers Paradise. The foundation is dedicated to promoting youth safety, educating the community about the consequences of knife crime, and advocating for legislative change to reduce violence among young people.

This year’s walk saw an outpouring of community support, with locals, organisations, and public figures coming together for the heartfelt cause. Among the Jack's friends and family were representatives from Helensvale Hornets RLFC, David Crisafulli MP, Mark Boothman, Joe Wilkinson and Naomi Fowler.

A Division 2 Community Grant helped support the event, ensuring its success. Participants walked through the scenic park to honour Jack’s legacy and support the ongoing work of the JBF in spreading awareness and saving lives.

Organisers expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the event. The Jack Beasley Foundation continues to lead the charge in advocating for safer communities, with events like Walk4Jack playing a pivotal role in uniting people and fostering change.
