A man has been charged in connection with two alleged sexual assault incidents on the Gold Coast on Friday, October 25.

Around 4:00 p.m., police responded to reports from a business on Mirambeena Drive, Pimpama, where a 47-year-old female employee was allegedly dragged to the floor by a man who attempted to sexually assault her. Her screams alerted a colleague and two bystanders, who then restrained the alleged offender until police arrived and arrested him.

Police further allege that earlier that day, the same man assaulted a 23-year-old woman on a train traveling between Beenleigh and Ormeau.

The 42-year-old Jindalee man has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to commit rape. He appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on October 26 and was remanded in custody, with a reappearance scheduled for November 26.
