A motorcyclist in his sixties has tragically died following a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Yatala on Saturday, April 27. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.

Initial investigations reveal that at approximately 9:30 a.m., the motorcyclist was traveling north on Cuthbert Drive on a red Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a blue Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection with Darlington Drive. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the man was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries the following day on April 28.

Police are urging members of the public who may have witnessed the collision or who have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at that time to come forward, as their insights may be crucial in piecing together the events leading up to the accident.
