Unlawful Wounding in Coomera

A crime scene has been established, and investigations are ongoing following an unlawful wounding incident in Coomera early this morning.

Police and emergency services responded to a property on Cirrus Way at around 6:10AM after reports that a man had suffered a non-life-threatening leg injury.

Preliminary investigations suggest the 23-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right ankle.

The offender is believed to have fled the scene shortly before police arrived.

The injured man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time, is urged to contact police.
