21-Year-Old Dies in Mudgeeraba Motorcycle Crash

A young motorbike rider has tragically lost his life after driving into a tow truck in Mudgeeraba.

A 21-year-old man has tragically died following a two-vehicle crash in Mudgeeraba on October 17.

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 5:05 p.m., the man was riding a Yamaha YZ400F trail bike east along Franklin Drive when he collided with a tow truck traveling in the opposite direction. The rider, a Mudgeeraba local, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he later passed away.

The tow truck driver, a 41-year-old man from Robina, was not injured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances.
